Duration: 5/1/00 to 4/30/03
This research is a three-year development of high-voltage
electronics for integrated micropropulsion systems.
Phase I (Year One) research is for development of
driver electronics for integrated micropropulsion systems. This
includes the design of integrated high-voltage drivers and mixed-signal,
mixed-voltage control electronics for driving a variety of proposed
propulsion systems. A GDSII file containing the layout of the driver
circuits (Q3 2000) along with an annual report detailing the design
and simulation will be transmitted to JPL.
Phase II (Year Two) tasks will include the characterization
of the drivers from phase I, any improved designs and initial system
integration of the drivers. Deliverables will be a report of the
characterization and measurements from the fabricated parts and
a GDSII file containing the layout of the higher level cells for
initial system integration.
Phase III (Year Three) will include the characterization
and debug of the initial system integration development. Further
system integration will be developed in the third phase. Deliverables
will be a report of the characterization and measurements from the
fabricated parts developed in Phase II and a GDSII file containing
the layout of the driver's controller circuits.
