This is a joint project involving both the MRC Institute and the National Institute for Advanced Transportation Technology (NIATT).

The objective of this project is to design a cost-effective interface device for interfacing commercial traffic light controllers with a traffic simulation package that runs on a personal computer. The CID device will allow traffic engineers to incorporate "real-world" traffic controllers in their studies and designs of major traffic systems.
